Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Territory Business Development Manager with experience selling into government and related agencies, within Australia. Package: AUS$110,000 - $140,000 base + commission ($190,000 - $230,000 OTE) + super. Reporting to: Minco de Boer, Head of International Sales. Location: remote, in Australia.

About the role

Supporting our Head of International Sales, you will be tasked with accelerating our growth, and building on the relationships that we have already established. As we are developing the ANZ market, we will need a strong new customer acquisition focus as to lay the foundations for future growth.

Using a balance of consultative and challenger styles, you will build a network of contacts who trust your expertise and believe in our product, establishing growing relationships which lead to large-scale sensor roll-outs, and developing leading industry figures as advocates for VivaCity.

This is a target-led position, where targets will be set monthly and quarterly. It is an opportunity for a tenacious and resilient individual to lead and grow the business within Australia and New Zealand.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic, results driven and personable sales professional, who has a passion for cutting edge tech and Smart Cities to join our friendly team. Priority management, excellent communication skills and attention to detail are key to the success of this role.

You will need to have the drive and motivation to be able to work collaboratively and independently to develop relationships with your clients, stakeholders and teammates. You will have the ability and resilience to adapt and thrive on a challenge and turn this into an opportunity.

What you'll be doing:Seeking, developing, and closing opportunities in councils, state governments or federal tendering, delivering an excellent client journey and experience throughoutIdentifying and quickly closing small wins whilst managing longer, high value and complex sales cyclesUnderstanding the competitive landscape, customer outcome objectives, and other external influences to effectively position Vivacity Labs’ value propositionResearching and designing demos and pitches customised for your clients’ needsRepresenting Vivacity Labs in all country-wide marketing activities, including seminars and trade showsWhat we need from you:Experience in dealing with councils, state governments or federal tenderingExtensive experience in sales roles, preferably selling complex, high-tech products or within the transport or mobility industryExperience as a remote worker within an international or worldwide working environmentDemonstrable experience of building new pipelines in new regions to fulfilmentProven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targetsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation skills to audiences of all sizes and levels of technical expertiseWhat we offer:25 days of holidayFlexible working hoursUp to 30 days per year work from abroadUp to 3 flexible bank holiday days£850 per year learning and development budgetUp to 3 ‘childcare’ or ‘dependant’ days per yearMental health support through SpillWe know that diverse ideas and perspectives drive innovation and make us better.
