We have an opportunity for a driven, analytical individual to join our growing Strategic Finance team.

You will join as the first Strategic Finance Analyst in the team and report to the Senior Principal with oversight from the Director of Strategic Finance when in role.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to apply their numeracy skills, data analysis and ability to juggle multiple projects within the unique culture of Octopus Electric Vehicles - part of the Octopus Group. What you'll do...This role will be varied - as you provide analysis support for growing funding facilities. You may be called upon to analyse our existing asset and lending book, or our credit position, or possibly model headroom against the covenants in our lending facilitiesYou will apply your financial knowledge to improve on the analysis of existing data You will collaborate with Credit, FinOps and internal teams to create both ad-hoc and regular analysis for key funding partnersYou will be relied upon for quick, well-considered responses to ad-hoc requests as part of the rapid scaling of the funding to grow the businessThis is a varied and fast moving role with growth prospects which requires an adaptable mindsetWe operate in a new and growing industry. We are rapidly growing our book of business and the scale and sophistication of our financing. You will have the opportunity to contribute to building a business reducing carbon emissions and making it easy to switch to clean, green driving.What you'll need...Have 2-4 years of experience working in a finance focussed role (investment banking, financial services etc)Be financially literate– you will be able to make sense of lots of data and shape it into a storyBe strong analytically and have attention to detailHave experience in building Excel financial models and Powerpoint/Google slide decks to tell a concise storyBe curious, proactive and self-driven - when faced with a new problem you will be capable of seeking out an answerBe a good communicator and a team-playerBe organised and able to execute plans of actionTo enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment with a keen desire to help tackle climate changeWhy else you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?
