Funny name, serious business
We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $10 million AUD (roughly $7.4 million USD) to fund water and sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.
With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our ambitious team of 200+ work tirelessly to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re working to increase our annual donation tenfold and we won’t rest until everyone in the world has access to clean water and sanitation services.
A bit about the role
Our Supply Chain team is renowned for making magic happen. And by magic, we mean producing and delivering much needed toilet paper and tissue products to the homes of customers across North America, Australia, the UK and Europe. For us, it's more than just about getting boxes to your doorstep, it's about ensuring at every moment that we uphold our brand and values - delightful, sustainable and socially responsible.
As our Production & Sourcing Director (North America), you'll report to our Head of Supply Chain North America and focus on partner management and process execution to keep our wheels turning as we scale and diversify. You'll be our go-to expert for US tissue manufacturing and will partner closely with our Marketing, Customer Experience, Logistics and B2B teams to create our dreamy products. You’ll also be our key Supplier Relationship Management voice, driving our regional processes for cost & performance optimization, innovation and trust.
This roll (hehe!) fits nicely into a larger global supply chain team consisting of regional focused management and global supply chain operations to ensure we're able to localise our efforts and partner management, whilst providing global partnership on improvements, processes and insights. This creates an exciting opportunity to work within a team across Australia, the Philippines, the US and Europe and makes the usual "how's the weather" chat truly interesting.
Our US team is remote and PST-aligned so warm up your work from home set up! If you're keen for in-person time, we do have a co-working space in Los Angeles should you prefer some delightful sync collaboration. Our key supply partners are located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona and Quebec, but they are accustomed to our remote style of life-work balance (yes, that way around), so the travel expectations aren’t heavy.
If you worked here this past month, here are some things you might have been involved in:
Lead a cross-functional team through detailed planning conversations to transition select manufacturing operations from offshore to the US.
Collaborated with the Head of Supply Chain to develop new category strategies for our tissue business. That’s a whole lot of toilet paper, paper towels, and facial tissue!
Jumped on a Zoom call with one of our impact partner leaders to learn more about how they are bringing water, hygiene and sanitation services to over 1 million children in a few of the world’s densest cities.
Geeked out with our Head of Sustainability to make a 5-year plan for our water, energy, emissions, and carbon footprint targets and to build a pipeline of initiatives to meet our aggressive sustainability vision.
Envisioned new ways to inspire other businesses to do good by doing more good, more boldly ourselves.
Got into the details of building Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the second half of our fiscal year so that we can surpass our gross margin targets for Production.
Partnered with key suppliers to understand their technical and product roadmaps and to envision how we can influence a path toward more eco-friendly solutions.
Let’s talk about you
You are a transformation leader
Often looking for opportunities to help elevate all parts of the business, your operational excellence is a shining light. As you build relationships with manufacturing partners, you appreciate the technical product attributes they possess as well as know how to improve them.
You are a confident collaborator
Your cross-functional thinking, insights and expertise enhance customer experience, retention and growth. You thrive when working in a team environment and enjoy lending your collaboration & process management skills to enrich and motivate the multi-discipline team around you.
You take opportunities to innovate from idea to execution
You enjoy driving innovation through supply partners and others recognise your fantastic contributions to existing and new product development alike. Your procurement abilities are expansive and you excel at establishing strong supplier relationships based on shared trust and aligned goals.
You’re a curious cat
You like analysing and using data to identify opportunities for value creation or enhancing performance. You can often be found planning for the future and know how to research and develop additional sales channels and champion new ideas in difficult marketplaces.
Oh yeah, you might like to occasionally dance while you’re working, think while you’re running, and laugh while digging deep. Plus, you’ve paused to appreciate how our soft toilet paper might actually feel on a unicorn’s bum.
You give a crap
Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!
Why should you work with us?
First off, there’s the feel good stuff. As a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. We also believe that helping to make the world a better place shouldn’t have to mean getting paid peanuts — it’s why we offer super competitive salaries, benefits like tailored learning and development opportunities, generous paid parental leave and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).
But you don’t have to take our word for it — our employees recently gave us our sixth consecutive Culture Amp engagement score of 90+ and we’ve been named one of BuiltInLA’s “100 Best Places to Work” two years in a row.
Have you made it this far?
If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
Oh oh oh one last thing!
We’re excited to be partnering with supply chain and production talent experts, DSJ Global who are taking the lead on this exciting search from the United States and will be reviewing each and every one of these applications. Lucky them!
