Our mission is simple. We want every working person globally to have complete financial freedom by giving them power over their pay.
Power over pay means the ability to instantly access, track, save and manage earned wages. We want to transform people's lives and the organisations they work for.
Wagestream is the global leader in Financial Wellbeing. We provide frontline workers with flexible financial solutions built around pay. Working through employers, our mission is to provide fair financial services to workers across the globe. We were founded for a social purpose to reduce the poverty premium. We believe the monthly pay cycle is fundamentally broken and unfair to employees, and that we can fix it. We know financial services are better served through the employer, and have built a set of tools (track, stream, save, learn), that boost the financial resilience of a workforce and have a measurable and proven impact on employee retention and productivity.
We love our clients and do everything we can to support them. We already help over a million workers worldwide access their income when they need it, across some of the largest organizations in the UK, Spain, Australia and US, including Fortune 500 companies in retail, hospitality and healthcare.
We are building a next generation financial services platform which connects employer payroll services to world wide banking services. We ingest millions of records from various external sources and our banking platform moves tens of millions of $, €, and £ per month. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you’ll be responsible for building highly scalable multi-threaded applications to gather, store and integrate payroll datasets and facilitate the movement of funds through major banking, payment and credit/debit card networks.
Responsibilities & tasks

You should, however, have a proven track-record of shipping web and mobile applications.
You should also be comfortable integrating with various 3rd party APIs both to facilitate financial transactions via financial service providers and integrating with payroll systems to extract employee and payroll data.
Deep experience with the AWS stack including SQS, S3, SES, Lambdas, API Gateway, etc
Mastery of at least one modern web/mobile framework. This could be React, Angular, Vue, or something else, but the point is you must be comfortable switching frameworks and picking the right tool for the job.
You look at the full picture to understand the value and impact of what you are building by talking to customers (internal, external)
An eye for aesthetics - you need to know when something isn’t good enough
You thrive when given broad objectives with minimal supervision, can make decisions, work autonomously and enjoy a fast paced “startup” like environment
