Job Description
- Salary: £70,000- £80,000 (depending on experience)
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Hybrid working in London, UK. Our team typically come into our swish, wheelchair-accessible office in Elephant & Castle 1-3 times per week.

Responsibilities & tasks
Ideal candidate
You’ll ideally be someone who enjoys taking ownership of pieces of work (including the technical breakdown and communicating with stakeholders, as well as writing code), takes initiative and enjoys teaching and learning from others.
As we’re beginning to scale, this role is a great opportunity to help influence how we build up our product, platform and team. We want to help you leverage your strengths and make the role your own.
This role is for an experienced software engineer, however we do often hire at different levels. If you’re in the earlier stages of your career, this won’t be the right role, but we encourage you to keep an eye on our careers page and keep us in mind!
Skills & qualifications
Demonstrated commercial experience as a software engineer, over a number of years and/or projects
Experience with React and NodeJS in a professional capacity
Solid communication and interpersonal skills. As a senior, you’ll need to be able to articulate ideas and facilitate technical discussions with our team.Passionate about software engineering best practices, and building scalable, maintainable and performant designs and code
Strong Javascript skills
A willingness to learn and help others grow
Willing to get stuck in wherever you can provide the most value, even if it's an area that's new to you
Experience leading on projects and driving technical decisions
Comfortable working in an agile environment
About the team
We’ve got a team of talented, curious, collaborative engineers and are looking for a senior software engineer to join us.
Our stack is built with a React frontend, NodeJS backend on the Google Cloud Platform.
On our team right now, we need an experienced senior engineer. You’ll ideally be equally comfortable building new APIs as you are turning designs into beautiful UIs. If you have any DevOps experience, that’s a bonus, but we’re happy to support you if you’re curious to learn. You’ll care about creating a great user experience and building performant applications. You’ll be a champion for best practices, and help upskill more junior members of the team.
