So far we’ve amassed a community of 68 million users in 17 countries that have saved more than 182 million meals from going to waste together. We are incredibly proud of this, but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

That’s why we’re more than an app: we are also a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste too.

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior PR Manager to join the superstar global PR & communications team at Too Good To Go.

Your mission:

The Senior PR Manager will lead our Too Good To Go PR and communications strategy, team and efforts to serve as a strategic enabler of the business across Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Poland, helping to drive overall brand valuation and positive reputation externally.

To break through in today's busy working environment, ultra-cluttered agenda and media/social media environments, there is a clear advantage to company storytelling being narrative-driven versus ad-hoc and episodic, for external purposes. 

Reporting to the Associate Director of Global PR this key communications leader will provide strategic communications counsel to our Country Directors, and business leaders in the 4 markets, and lead a communications team, including 2 team members in the region. The Senior PR Manager will also support overseeing the work on Social Media (with FTE, agencies and other resources) in the 4 countries. 

The position is a mix between being a PR & communications leader who is a strategist, as well as a hands-on contributor, with focus on aligning an organisation's goals, values, motivations, and commitment to achieve shared success.

Your role

Lead and support the PR & Communication regional team to create high impact assets to deliver measurable business outcomes, brand value and a positive reputation.

Create company narratives that showcase our purpose, values and growth levers, taking into consideration mission, ambitions, industry trends, product beats and cultural moments.

Lead the strategic development of an enterprise corporate communications strategy with "always on" media and storytelling engines.

Provide a strong and stable (always on) communications counsel to regional and local leaders and business key stakeholders and activate diverse voices through a strategic spokesperson matrix to amplify company stories to build brand value; create custom narratives through a combination of earned and owned media, speaking and social channels.

Develop compelling and inspiring stories that articulates our vision of leading the future of sustainable living, instilling confidence and belief in TGTG short, mid and long-term strategy..

Guide our storytelling efforts to a wide range of audiences in the 4 markets business partners, regulators, media stakeholders, social media users and consumers adding clarity and consistency to our business strategy, enhancing and protecting our brand and driving our reputation.

Support the work we do on B2B Comms with Corporate business partners to tell Too Good To Go’s company story, rooted in our impact, purpose and values.

Lead teams and communications strategies in support of business growth, while managing ongoing issues and reputation risks (crises, regulatory, legal, etc.)

Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members, partnering with peers to build healthy and happy teams.

Requirements:

Experience in a similar PR role and networks in the DACH and Poland regions. Experience within an agency is highly valued

Leadership experience, with excellent mentoring skills

Brilliant communication skills (verbal and written) in German as well as English

The ability to translate ideas into PR tactics

Experience running an efficient press office and driving media relations

Excellent understanding of the DACH and Poland regions media landscape and how to make the most out of a story

Ready to roll up your sleeves with a tenacious approach to getting our story told

A deep interest in food waste and sustainability 

Experience with influential industry events and managing speaking opportunities

A natural ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate in a large global organisation
