Why do we need to do that? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste!

As the world’s largest food waste-fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it. But we’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast, with our community of 72 million users in 17 countries saving more than 199 million meals from going to waste! But there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

We’re looking for talented people with diverse skills and backgrounds to join us in the fight against food waste. That is where you come in: we’re looking for an exceptional Senior Manager - Groceries to join us in our Paris office 🚀

 

Your mission : 

As the Senior Manager for Groceries, reporting to the Head of Key Accounts in France, you will play a pivotal role by setting and driving the national Grocery Key Accounts strategy for the market. You will be directly responsible for managing 4 managers and growing the Grocery Key Account team (more than 30 employees) as they drive acquisition and growth of partnerships. 

To achieve zero food waste & develop our portfolio of solutions with our Grocery partners, we are in a mission to offer a full range of complimentary & customised solutions to our retailers, 

Your role :

Management of the Grocery Key Account team, with a heavy focus on strategic and analytical oversights

Setting up and expanding sales and partnerships with the grocery chains in France by directly engaging with our key pursuits

Lead go-to-market of new products within your team and drive the strategy for  successful rollouts within your portfolio

Building and developing a productive, efficient and autonomous Key Accounts team: Using your in-depth knowledge and experience of different sales and negotiation methodologies, you will ensure the team fulfils their potential and constantly train, coach, mentor and support for peak performance

Ensuring the team have the right tools and process to be in the best possible conditions to succeed 

Influence & impact global tech / Sales Roadmap in order to offer customer & user centric solution - Able to centralise & duplicate other countries best practices on grocery

Manage 4 managers & motivate a team of more than 30 Waste Warriors 

Work alongside the Head of Key Accounts to make sure grocery drives the global commercial strategy

 

Requirements

Strong commercial and management experience leading a Key Accounts team in a scale-up or fast-growth business. Experience in managing managers is a plus

In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Grocery sector, with exposure to different sales environments and methodologies 

Hands-on experience using a CRM/Sales tool such as Salesforce

Strong leadership skills and a proven track record performance management, motivation and continuous development of commercial teams. You believe that intrinsic motivation and a growth mindset are key to success.

Result-oriented and experience in working with KPIs to guide actions and track success

Self-starter who is excited to roll up your sleeves. You want to go as big and as fast as possible while reaching empty spaces 

True passion for sustainability - you understand the urgency of action for the planet

You are able to buildstrong partner relationships with senior stakeholders and have outstanding negotiation skills
