Senior Corporate Legal Counsel at Lime

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven corporate lawyer to join our fast-growing team as a Senior Corporate Legal Counsel. You will advise on and manage a fascinating variety of legal, corporate, tax, and compliance issues across our global business. You will serve as a strategic partner providing high-quality legal guidance to cross-functional teams including Corporate, Finance, Tax, SOX Compliance, and Operations within a fast-paced company.

What You'll DoLead management of the Group’s global subsidiaries (currently around 30 entities),  providing first-line support for each subsidiary’s Board of Directors; Provide legal advice and support relating to a wide range of international corporate matters; restructuring projects; and IPO readiness;Ensure the highest levels of corporate governance practices are consistently met; seek efficiencies and partner closely with the Corporate team in the US;Oversee the preparation of agenda and board packs for, and attend, subsidiary company board meetings and draft minutes and resolutions;Liaise with external providers of compliance and company secretarial services, law firms, auditors, etc and manage corresponding budgets;Maintain statutory registers and manage the corporate governance requirements, including working with Finance and Tax teams and external advisors to submit global filings;Support Finance and Tax teams on negotiations with auditors and other service providers;Support Tax and regional Legal teams in audits and investigations;Advise on incorporation documents; manage the set-up of international entities; and review and coordinate the relevant business and trade licenses;Lead negotiations with payment service providers and provide additional contract support as needed;Monitor legislative and legal developments to anticipate required changes to business processes and help ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in existing and new markets;Manage up to two direct reports.About You: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Corporate PQE.Proven high-performing legal experience in a multinational in-house environment is a must, and working with a significant number of international subsidiaries is a big plus.Experience in attending board meetings and preparing board packs and minutes.Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.  Other languages are a plus.Motivated, efficient, organised, and detail-oriented.Able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team and working independently.Positive attitude, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity: a willingness to learn new skills and take on greater levels of responsibility.A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and gain trust and influence at all levels; able to develop and maintain key relationships.Have a passion for Lime and our mission.Demonstrate the ability to provide timely, practical, business-friendly advice to clients with minimal supervision.Possess strong analytical and strategic skills.Have a high degree of professional ethics and integrity.Anticipate risks and proactively build the processes and systems to mitigate them.#LI-Hybrid#LI-TG1
