US Tier 2 Locations: $126,000 - $183,000

US Tier 3 Locations: $116,000 - $169,000

 

Please note that we are only hiring for Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations in the US in the Eastern and Central Time Zones for this role (EDT/CDT)

The Role

Mozilla IT is seeking an outstanding engineer who will be responsible for building Application integrations and automation, including but not limited to Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite, and other enterprise applications. Someone who enjoys working with different teams and figuring out the best solution to address their needs and make them more successful. Someone who is passionate about learning and innovation, loves to experiment to find the best way to tackle customers’ problems. You will evaluate the needs of a business and develop systems that meet those needs. A truly unique skill set and job history are required to tackle the Business Systems challenges at Mozilla.

 

What is a Senior Engineer at Mozilla? 

A Senior Engineer is the next level from an Engineer. At Mozilla, this role can vary, but is typically someone who is largely self directed after work is assigned and is advanced in their domain. They help team members get information they need to be successful while also being the go-to person for peer reviews in their domain. They have a solid understanding of the product strategy and can recommend solutions to critical issues when needed, assist junior engineers in risk management and escalation, and advocate for and implement changes that affect their team. A Senior Engineer actively seeks opinions and ideas from their team members, including those with varied experiences and perspectives to improve more collective results. 

 

As an Application Engineer at Mozilla, you will…

Participate in all aspects of the internal projects: planning, implementation, testing, and deployment

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and understand business problems and desired outcomes

Identify, evaluate and propose key technologies required to support and improve business processes

Deploy and vet SaaS applications for a progressive problem-solving approach to organizational IT challenges

Perform regular maintenance activities, support, test and upgrade existing applications and effectively roll out new features to keep up with standard methodologies

Document processes and procedures in our internal Knowledge Base

Proficient in a rapidly changing environment

Work independently with minimal guidance

Be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concepts to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers derived on a set of strong engineering principles

Your Professional Profile

BS. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience

5+ years’ experience in SaaS support for organizations with 1,000+ users

Direct experience with supporting and integrating Business Applications, including but not limited to Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Google Workspace, and collaboration tools (Slack)

Strong knowledge of application integration technologies and using APIs

Experience using scripting for automation. (Python, PowerShell, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent planning and project management skills; ability to effectively manage priorities to meet requirements and deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment, while working on different projects simultaneously
