Job Description

At the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation, we’re passionate about fueling a movement for a healthy internet! We do this by engaging movement leaders and inspiring thousands around the world to take action alongside us.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join us as part of a specialized CRM platform management team. This position reports to the CRM Platform Manager. A good CRM system requires a great deal of internal focus and ownership, on an ongoing basis, in order to remain useful, relevant, clean, and ultimately valuable. To this end, the Mozilla Foundation is establishing a digital platforms team, including a dedicated CRM team to handle the many areas of strategy and execution necessary to keep the CRM and related systems strong and valuable (see https://thebuildtank.com/crm-team for more detail).

As a Salesforce Administrator you will bring a high level of expertise in the Salesforce platform, and bring focus to improving the system every day for the staff and organization. We are looking for a professional who has proven Salesforce administration experience, interpersonal skills, the ability to work strongly in a team, and a desire to help the mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:

With a detailed understanding of the Salesforce platform and the orientation to always learn more, make careful, well-considered configuration changes to Salesforce and related platforms resulting from either high-level architecture decisions and/or ground-level support requests.

Make rapid tweaks when there are easy opportunities to improve user experience and usefulness for staff, based on triaged support requests.

Create fields, objects, validation rules, page layouts, workflow processes, and more to address and improve new and existing business needs.

Update and maintain user records, profiles, permissions, and security.

Stay up to date with changes to the Salesforce platform and where those changes may present opportunities for improvements, fixes, or enhancements.

Under direction of the CRM Platform Manager, investigate, install, and maintain third party tools for appropriate integrated uses where appropriate, such as form capture, donation processing, email marketing, and other uses.

Perform data cleanup and migration when required using tools such as Demand Tools and Data Loader.

Drive the migration of data currently residing in legacy spreadsheets into Salesforce where appropriate.

Support staff to define needs and show them how to get what they’re looking for out of Salesforce and related platforms.

Manage system and data integrity by establishing end-user best practices and using administrative tools.

Monitor data quality on an ongoing basis to identify issues before they become major problems.

Engage in critical thinking and planning about processes, vision, and improvements.

Implement various deep-dive technical projects sometimes working collaboratively, sometimes autonomously. Examples include data cleanup, managing a new third-party software integration or composing documentation.

Work closely with the other members of the CRM team to arrive at smart, long-term oriented decisions, and cover all of the many disparate areas required for effective management of the platform and people's use of it.

Qualifications:

1 -3 years of Salesforce architecture and administration experience preferred but related experience will be considered.

Salesforce Certified Administrator credential. Experience working with Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is a plus.

Familiarity with 3rd party Salesforce applications and tools.

Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes in areas such as Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, dashboards and reports

Desire to make your co-workers' lives easier.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent judgment and decision making skills.

Precision and quality focused; refusal to let details fall through the cracks.

Methodological, detail oriented, able to be careful and considerate under pressure.

Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to a constantly changing landscape.

Ability to identify and implement process and policy improvements.

Ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.

Ability to provide instruction to audiences of varying technical ability.

Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment.

Energy and passion for the mission of the organization.

Focus on making it work – we are looking for team members who are open-minded, who can look at problems from multiple angles, and who have an appetite and patience for getting it right, revisiting, and constantly improving.
