Wagestream is on a mission to bring better financial wellbeing to frontline workers.

We partner with some of the world’s most famous employers, like Pizza Express, Hilton and the UK’s National Health Service, to give their teams access to fairer financial services - all built around flexible pay. Almost a million people can now choose how often they’re paid, track their shifts and earnings, start saving, use budgeting tools, get free financial coaching, and access fairer financial products. All in one financial wellbeing super-app.

You’d be joining a team of 100 talented, ambitious people, growing in Europe, Australia and the USA, building a category-leading fintech product and all united by that same mission.

Responsibilities & tasks

What will you be doing?

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be the key to us unlocking doors with large businesses (typically 1000+ staff) and starting conversations on how Wagestream can help them with their financial wellbeing goals. You’ll be the first person Management, Finance & HR contacts at these businesses hear from, and it’ll be your job to build relationships and nurture them through to face to face meetings with our Sales Directors.

B2B outbound appointment setting with key business stakeholders – you will manage a pipeline of existing and past prospects, with the goal of re-engaging the customer and nurturing them through to a stakeholder meeting
Pursuing your realistic monthly target to support the commercial team
Cultivating meaningful relationships with your customers via phone, email, networking events, etc
Identify and nurture leads to successfully pass onto the Enterprise Sales team to meet face to face
Working closely with the Marketing team to grow our leads pipeline and maximise visibility in the reward and benefits space

Ideal candidate

This might be right for you if:

You have 2 years+ experience in B2B sales, and feel at home on the phone
You’re patient, persistent and you like working with people
You pay attention to the details. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You stay focused and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
You are a creative and experienced social seller, who leverages B2B social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter) to get your message across and engage potential clients
You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches
You like numbers. Hitting monthly targets gets you excited and gives you a sense of accomplishment
You’re organised, and always thinking one step ahead. You can organise your day, week, month & quarter with skill and efficiency
You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked.
You’re going to take ownership of the time you spend with us and truly make a difference
