We are looking for a talented individual to take on the Head of Risk & Compliance position for our AIFM in Ireland. In this role, you will be the designated person to the Central Bank of Ireland for Operational Risk, Fund Risk and Regulatory Compliance. The role will report to the AIFM’s CEO as well as the Group Head of Risk & Compliance.
We are looking for a talented individual to step up into a Risk & Compliance lead role in our AIFM in Ireland. There are potentially 2 roles we are looking for that will be the designated persons to the Central Bank of Ireland for Operational Risk, Fund Risk and Regulatory Compliance. The role will report to the AIFM’s CEO as well as the Group Head of Risk & Compliance.
Regulatory Compliance ResponsibilitiesProviding positive and practical assistance to the business, whilst maintaining appropriate regulatory controls in line with CBI requirements.Identify future regulatory developments and proactively manage regulatory change.Work in partnership with the business and take ownership of compliance tasks and processes.Oversight, maintenance, and implementation of the risk-based monitoring programmeReviewing marketing and client documentation to ensure that it is fair, clear, and not misleading.Responsible for oversight of financial crime controls: anti-money laundering, fraud, and market abuse.Fund Risk Management ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for ensuring funds are managed in accordance with fund offering documents, internal risk limits and applicable regulatory limits.Oversight of liquidity risk, including liquidity analysis and stress testing and management of liquidity issues.Work collaboratively with the Investment Team and undertake necessary risk controls, checks, and stress testing.Operational Risk Management ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the Risk Management Framework which includes maintaining the Issues Register, Risk Register and undertaking mitigation and action plans.Collaborate with the fund management team to complete regular oversight and due diligence on all outsourced service providers.What you'll needAt least 8 years of experience working in the asset management industry.Be capable of meeting the expectations of holding the designated person status with the Central Bank of Ireland.A broad and thorough knowledge of regulatory and risk management requirements. Be able and comfortable working autonomously.A proven organisational team leader and communicator.History of managing and developing relationships successfully.Strong verbal and written communication skills with an engaging ability to deliver compliance and risk-related information.Self-starter with a tenacious mindset to succeed and a hands-on approach.Why you'll love it here
