Public Affairs Manager at Lime

We are looking for a public affairs manager to help lead our engagement with cities across France as we seek to expand our shared e-bike and e-scooter service.

You will join a team of public policy leaders who share a vision for new and environmentally friendly transport options. You will need the ability to work flexibly, engaging in a range of public affairs activities and producing high quality results.

You will be comfortable working independently and owning responsibility for projects, tasks, and geographic areas and will have significant experience building relationships with elected officials (both local and national), local authorities and important third sector stakeholders. A deep understanding of politics and policy is essential - as are the skills to communicate effectively both externally and internally.

Previous experience of working within the tech or transport sectors is desirable.

What You'll Do: Establish strategic relationships with city representatives, local authorities and third party stakeholders, regularly meeting with them to build trust and mutual interest, mitigate potential obstacles and convey the company's priorities and strategiesHelp local authorities, transport operators, local partners and other relevant institutions understand how Lime’s mobility solutions can work for their citiesPlan and execute campaigns on specific issue areas or in specific geographies in existing markets and work towards opening new marketsCollaborate closely with other Lime team members on operations, product, marketing, and communications activitiesWrite and own a variety of written submissions on behalf of the company, including Requests for proposals, newsletters, reports.Monitor and identify issues, political developments and upcoming challenges. About You: Degree in public law, public affairs or equivalent experience4+ years experience in a public institution such as a city hall,  government affairs, political campaigns, and/or business development in a government-related environmentExcellent written and verbal communication/people skillsFluent in French and English spoken & writtenBased in Paris with ability to travel throughout France on a regular basisAbility to handle multiple deadlines and work at a rapid startup spaceSelf starter, able to work independently and as part of a teamExisting government and advocacy contacts and relationships in FranceGovernment affairs know-how. Experience leading or working at a high level in local or regional government arenas, particularly city governmentPassion for sustainability, politics, urban planning, mobility, and leveraging tech for the public interest#LI-Remote#LI-RO1
