We are dedicated to shaping an inclusive culture that drives excellence, innovation, and results by enabling talent acceleration and development, engagement, and the employee experience.  The Production Team is a matrix organization within Beyond Meat that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins. They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PA as a Production Lead.  The Production Lead is an hourly front-line leadership position.  This position supervises production staff on a specific shift to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, and cost. Mentors and develops hourly production personnel.TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESTASKSDelegate tasks to operators Oversee day-to-day operationsMonitor team performance and report on metrics Create a team environment built on open communication Listen to team members feedback and resolve issues or conflicts Contribute to the growth of the company through building a successful teamSet clear team goalsMotivate team members to achieve goalsRecognize high performance and reward accomplishments Supervisory DutiesLead, manage, and supervise production employees, conduct training for all processes within the production settingProvide mentorship and training to functional team membersAccountable for developing talent through on-going performance feedback and career management coachingQUALIFICATIONSEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience: Education: High School Diploma or GED6 months - 1 year supervisory experiencePrevious experience in food production/manufacturing preferredProven ability to lead.Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointDependable and punctual Other qualifications:Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively.Strong attention to detailExcellent problem solving and communication skills.Willingness to generate new ideas and find better ways to do things.Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high growth work environment. ○  Mandatory overtime is required on occasion, which can include some weekends.Adhere to all facility policies concerning safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Perform other assigned tasks as neededWORK ENVIRONMENTWarehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.  The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods, step, balance, crouch, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, or as needed to complete tasks.Must be able to repetitively lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasksPosition located primarily within a manufacturing/production area and requires a tolerance for consistent cold work environments (0-40˚ F), high worker traffic, loud noises, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures.Must be able to repetitively exert the required force to push/pull pallets of products of differing weights (400 to 1200 lbs), while both walking and utilizing a manual pallet jack.Work flexible shifts as required.Understand that overtime and occasional weekends and/or worked holidays will be required based on company needs.
