We are looking for an individual who is passionate about sustainable investing, interested in all matters “ESG” and has strong analytical and quantitative skills to join our growing team in London, and help us to drive forward a data led approach to sustainable investing. The regulatory environment demands that our approach to sustainable investment is quantifiable as well as rigorous and this role will support us deliver best in class portfolio and asset management, investor reporting and disclosures. Although the role will have exposure across all investments, this role will have a particular focus on working directly with the Asset Management team and appointed service providers for our construction and operational infrastructure assets.What you'll do Be responsible for driving a systemised approach to collection, storing and calculation of data from our renewable energy asset investments. This includes counterparty data and KPIs in line with SFDR. Your role will involve defining templates, calculation tools, reporting platforms and implementing these into a system that will meet the needs of a scaling business.Keep up to date with an evolving regulatory environment, ensuring at all times our data collection approach is fit for purposeForm brilliant stakeholder relationships with those that need to provide data, working directly with counterparties and asset managers. This will include regular ESG reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with requirements and development of a counterparty monitoring platform.Understand carbon footprint calculation methodology and data gathering to produce scope1, 2 and 3 information for our fundsBuild an understanding of the EU Taxonomy to enable assessment including work on climate risk assessments for our investmentsSupport onboarding new assets into our funds, following up on outstanding actions, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilledSupport on assessing potential new investments against our ESG requirements for renewable energy infrastructure to ensure ESG risks are mitigated, obligations met and opportunities for driving impact are identified. This includes ensuring data requirements are included in contractual negotiations.Work with counterparties on ideas for asset level impact initiatives e.g. Biodiversity projects, Community projects.Use information to form exciting and interesting stories in the form of case studies to our investors as well as contributing to investor annual and quarterly reports through ESG metrics and regulatory disclosuresWhat you'll needA genuine interest in renewables, environment, net zero and/or sustainability with 1 to 5 years work experience in ESG and/or sustainable finance.Some familiarity and interest in sustainability frameworks and third-party guidelines (SFDR, TCFD, SASB, UN SDG, PRI, etc)Some experience of carbon foot printing would be advantageousNumerate and data drivenPrevious experience of working with data sets, identifying and implementing data tools / reporting platforms (e.g. Power Bi) and experience of improving the way things are done in relation to dataHighly organised with a high work rate, able to thrive in a busy environment juggling multiple competing prioritiesProactive, approachable and friendly manner.
