We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team at Octopus Energy’s heat pump factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland. 

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our heat pump manufacturing facility. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining factory systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing preventive maintenance procedures.What you'll do Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on factory equipment and machines in addition to general maintenance of building systems and servicesPlan, organise and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of heat pump manufacturing equipmentRespond promptly to issues, diagnose faults, and implement appropriate corrective actionsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company standardsMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including schedules, work orders, reports and equipment recordsWhat you'll need Qualified electrician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing settingFamiliarity with electrical, electronic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems, machinery, equipment and PLC controls Ability to perform straightforward mechanical maintenance in addition to electrical works Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipmentExperience organising and controlling contractors Proficient in reading electrical schematics, diagrams and technical manualsStrong knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulationsExcellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentEffective communication skills to convey technical information clearly and conciselyFlexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be on-site every day at our Portadown heat pump factoryWhat we offer Equity Option Scheme everyone owns a part of what we're building, when you become an Octopus Energy Group employee, you will be included in our Equity Options Scheme.
