About the roleWe are currently looking for a Part-Time (3-4 days per week) HR Assistant to join our lovely (if I do say so myself) HR team to cover maternity leave (estimated nine months). This person will support recruitment and the broader team on various tasks such as note-taking, letter writing, organisation of events, and a whole lot more.This could be your first step into HR, and as long as you are motivated and ready to learn, we would love to teach you!Whilst the role is based out of our office near Oldbury, there may be some opportunity for hybrid working and travel to our London offices.

As part of the role, you will primarily be responsible for:Supporting and delivering effective recruitment activity. - Posting recruitment adverts-Screening CVs-Telephone screening candidates-Organising and supporting interviews-Helping to design and run recruitment processes-Ensuring the applicant tracking system is up to date-Keeping hiring managers up to date with progressHR administration. - Adding new starters to the HR System (BambooHR)-Sending out onboarding packs via BambooHR-The writing and sending out of letters (such as pay review letters) via the system-Researching and booking event venues-Organising events or special deliveries-Screening CVs-taking notes in meetingsDependent on workload, you could support the team with all manner of administration or projects, such as supporting our D&I initiatives and committee, increasing engagement, or assisting in organising fun socials. The days and tasks are varied, and there is so much more that you could learn about and support with, so of course, the above description doesn’t cover it all!

BenefitsThe salary for this role is £24000 pro rata plus a discretionary bonusPeople come to work at First Mile because of the impact they can have and the opportunities to grow.That being said, we offer 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) pro rata and an extra day for each complete year of service.
