We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to join us as our new Head of International Sales. Salary: £90,000-110,000 + commission (£180,000-200,000 OTE). Reporting to: Rob Stait, CRO. Location: Old Street, with flexible working and WfH.

This commercial leadership role will be part of VivaCity’s leadership team and will be responsible for taking Vivacity’s growth story in the UK and replicating that success in new jurisdictions around the world.
Initially focussing on the US and Australia, you will manage a small and remote team of Business Development Managers. Over time, and with success, the team will grow to encompass many more countries and regions and will become a fundamental part of VivaCity’s overall growth and mission.
Leading on strategy as well as providing direct team management and coaching, you will establish the blueprint for future International success. You will put in place the structures, working practices and processes and you will embed a culture which promotes an innovative, collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.

You’ll also be responsible for designing a compensation strategy to ensure your team are motivated and rewarded for their effortsYou’ll work with your team to close large and complex deals, helping to build durable and effective relationshipsYou’ll manage process improvements and transformative change initiativesWhat we need to see: Entrepreneurial by nature and a self-sufficient operator, you will nevertheless also recognise through experience the necessity for collaborative teams and an open, honest and transparent environmentYou will thrive on tackling the challenge of building something successful, taking a market leading product and, through a start-up mentality, delivering rapid growth in new jurisdictionsYou’ll have 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a Sales Management / Sales Leadership position focussed on International expansionYou’ll have a solid grounding in B2B or B2G sales, business development or strategic partnershipsYou’ll have substantial experience in data analysis, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive decision-makingYou’ll have experience using and developing reports, metrics and dashboards with relevant sales metric tools and programsYou are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited to take-on stretch goals and deal with uncertainty while taking strategic decisions despite incomplete informationYou’ll need gravitas, exceptional relationship management, influencing and communication skills, including experience effectively communicating with senior managementYou’ll need proven experience of hiring, leading and growing a high performing team of business development/sales executivesYou will have the ability to move seamlessly from big-picture thinking to operational tacticsAs an added bonus we'd also love: Experience leading a sales team for a venture-backed technology startup/scaleup during national or international expansionSpecific experience of scaling technology businesses in the US will be a distinct benefitExperience of traffic and transport technology markets will be an advantageWe offer flexible working policies and a benefits package that includes a personal development budget, generous parental leave and regular, varied events.
