In response to continued, rapid growth in our EV leasing business, we’re expanding our Finance Operations Team. The team is right at the heart of everything we do, managing high volumes of vehicle purchases, our relationships with banks/funders and of course ensuring that our customers are looked after. 

We approach Finance Operations from a tech-first perspective, automating wherever possible and focusing our people on driving efficiencies and adding real value to the business. The Finance Operations Manager will play a key role in taking this function to the next level.

Reporting to our Head of Finance Operations and managing a direct report, you will support the operational finance activities related to Octopus EV's fleet of vehicles on lease to consumer and business clients. Non-fleet finance activities (all overheads, payroll, R&D etc) will be the responsibility of our Group Finance team.What you'll do...Drive the automation, simplification and sophistication of the Finance Operations worldImplement new processes/dashboards e.g. one focus will be on our funding lines, working closely with our Tech teams to build a high functioning and accurate tool/dashboard for external & internal reportingWork closely with the Head of Finance Operations to review the current processes around month end and build out tech led processes and automation to improve efficienciesSupport on the day to day finance operations; customer queries, funder drawdowns, FCA/ONS reporting and analytical exercises e.g. cashflow forecastingWhat you'll need...A numerate / finance background, but not necessarily a fully qualified accountant  (may be part-qualified or have gained experience on the job)Experience in an data analytics and operational finance rolesProven experience of advanced knowledge in creating and implementing tech lead processes and improvementsIdeally will have worked in a car rental or leasing finance teamIdeally will have worked with integrated fleet management and accounting systemsWhy else you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?
