We’re building out our dealer management function at Octopus Electric Vehicles and looking for someone to further develop our capabilities and activities as well as building on our strong, strategic partnerships with selected dealer groups around the country.
Your initial focus will be on understanding current processes and suggesting and implementing improvements as well as additions to what we do. You’ll lead on managing performance and relationships with our dealer partners day-to-day and look for partnership opportunities for us to deliver our ever-improving service to our customers.
You’ll work closely with our Customer Operations team to make ordering and delivering cars from dealer partners seamless. You’ll also team up with Procurement and Vehicle Operations to identify and execute on strategic partnerships and opportunities to collaborate within the industry.
Over time you’ll also build and manage a small team and take on a more strategic role in building and maintaining relationships, and a pipeline of partnerships and collaborations.

What you'll do Manage performance of all our dealer partners also ensuring that we’re being good partners for them tooAssist our operational teams with customer and or vehicle escalations ensuring best outcome for the business and our customersReview our network to ensure that we’re able to retail and support relevant BEV brands nationally Lead on building process and training content to make ordering and delivery as easy as possibleScope and onboard new dealer partners whose values and customer first approach align with ours and negotiate on supply agreementsCollaborate closely with all of our operational teams, acting as point person between our Ops teams, and dealers Work closely with Head of Procurement to source, identify and secure stock and build allocation from our dealer partners nationally and in collaboration with Original Equipment ManufacturersNegotiate on vehicle dealer discounts and or rebates ensuring we are maximising every revenue opportunity through our dealer partners Work on Vehicle Operations partnerships for service and repair opportunities through our network Build and lead a high performing team in this areaWhat you'll needUnderstand the dynamics around supply of vehicles into the UK and the dealer supply modelExperience working at or very closely with dealer groups in the UKA good network across dealer groups in the UKActive supplier management / negotiation – specifically in the supply of vehiclesStrong communication and presentation skillsExperience using Leaselink as an order management platformTo enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environmentIt would be great if you had experience withKnowledge of electric vehicles and support technology including charging (desirable)Use of the Jaama Key2 system or similar lease quotation platform (desirable)Developing commercial partnership frameworks (desirable)Service and repair of vehicles through dealer networks in the UK (desirable)Why else you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?
