Business Development Executive (Sales) - Join our Hyper-Growth AI Company!
Location: London (Work from home and flexible options available)Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 base (£39,200 - £41,200 OTE)Reporting to: Mike Hollingbery, Head of Global Marketing

About the Role:As a Business Development Executive, you will be the frontline of our sales team, responsible for lead generation and establishing valuable client relationships. Your role will involve opening doors, initiating high-quality appointments for Business Development Managers, and driving positive change in our transport network. This target-driven position requires a go-getter attitude, resilience, and accountability. While an interest in technology, transport, or the urban environment is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. You will collaborate with Business Development Managers and the Marketing Department while also exploring your own outreach tactics.Key Responsibilities: Contacting prospects via calls, emails, and LinkedInUnderstanding client pain points and securing new business sales appointmentsIndependently conducting research on new clients and organisationsCollaborating with Business Development Managers to identify high-potential prospectsProviding marketplace feedback and competitor intelligence to internal teamsAttending conferences and industry events in the UKStaying updated with relevant industry and government newsRecording all activities in the central sales portal to generate valuable reports and insightsSubmitting correct and detailed supplier registrations on key online portalsRequirements: Minimum 6 months of work experience in a relevant sales roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTech-savviness and quick adaptability to sales platformsAbility to build relationships quickly over the phoneStrong research skills for identifying key prospectsTrack record of success in outbound prospecting or telemarketingGoal-oriented with a proven ability to meet sales targetsPreferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:Experience in fast-paced, high-growth start-up environmentsUnderstanding of complex, analytical technologiesKnowledge of public sector procurementFamiliarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot or PipedriveWhat we offer:25 days of holidayFlexible working hours and work from homeUp to 30 days per year work from abroadUp to 3 flexible bank holiday days3% employer pension contribution£200 total working from home budget£850 per year learning and development budgetEnhanced parental leaveUp to 3 ‘childcare’ or ‘dependant’ days per yearMental health support through SpillDiscounted gym memberships through GymFlex£50 per person per quarter team social budgetAdditional entertainment budget and company partiesOffice food and drinksOptional Bupa healthcare and dental care through salary deductionEye care vouchersSeasonal Flu jabsCycle to work schemePayroll giving through salary sacrificeAt VivaCity, we value passion, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
