Job Description
We are looking for an organised person with excellent communication skills (particularly over the phone and email) to join us to provide full-time support for the Supply Chain team to help grow the sales in the subcontracting divisions for First Mile. This could be a great next step for someone already working in Customer Service or Customer Success and looking to move into a commercial team. Key AccountabilitiesSupply Chain Management: Own, maintain , and build partnerships with each supplier to utilize and leverage our relationships to benefit our customers.
Amaze customers with exceptional customer experience and delivery, and show them how we get the job done. Ensure all compliance documentation is kept up to date; suppliers insurances, licenses and policies.Retention & Growth:
Work with the Supply chain manager and Account managers to provide support for key accounts and large accounts to ensure they are happy based on our suppliers' performance and manage all day to day issues that occur.Reporting and Identification:
Provide weekly reporting to Supply Chain Manager on suppliers' performances; highlight and resolve any ongoing problem sites. Identify new suppliers that first mile could partner with.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day service queries that
arise in our internal supply chain system; this includes calls, emails and
setting up site visits if needed
Carry out all administrative tasks
relating to supply chain/subcontracting, ensuring all suppliers are
responded to with solutions, and all customers are given solutions when
related to subcontracted services.
Provide key account support for sites
that are subcontracted or may need subcontracting
Act as a point of escalation for customer
service when they may be struggling with a supplier/suppliers
Provide support to business development
when dealing with national tenders and providing the support in a timely
manner
Find new suppliers for new services when
rolling out new national contracts RequirementsKey Skills Required:
Ability to prioritise workload and manage up and down within the
business to ensure urgent issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Highly organized in a high-volume role
Ability to problem solve and think outside the box quickly to ensure fast
resolutions for customers
Display emotional intelligence in tough situations and remember there
is always a bigger picture when it comes to managing commercial
relationships
Ability to negotiate with suppliers and clients to ensure issues/queries
are resolved, leaving customers happy with our solution.
Excellent communication skills, predominately on the phone, in person, and emails Technical Skills: Good Excel skills with a systematic approach to working and reporting Preferred salesforce experience with the ability to make reports and provide insights Ability to summarise key information quickly and concisely
Benefits Salary of up to ยฃ26,000 plus a quarterly bonus 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) as well as an extra day for each complete year of service
