About the Role:  

Based in either the US Mid-Atlantic/Southeast region the Account Manager will uncover new customers and manage existing relationships as we continue to expand marketing and sales revenue within the US Army (USA) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) market segments. The ideal candidate is a driven, independent thinker, who can also be creative as we expand into new market verticals and industries. This person will have a strong geospatial intelligence and business acumen along with an aptitude to learn new things. 

Impact You’ll Own:

Target the following sectors: US Army to include FORSCOM and INSCOM units, US Special Operations Command to include the (5) Component Commands and related organizations, agencies and mission partners. 

Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close large-scale complex deals and drive sales revenue targets. 

Have a technical understanding of geospatial intelligence products and/or a similar technical field and understand the customer segments we sell to. 

Assist in the creation, development and management of a Planet Federal Program Management team to identify and capture prime contracting projects within US Army and USSOCOM components, units and other US Intelligence Community organizations. 

Assist in the organization, management and administration of a USSOCOM Classified CRADA program.   

Develop an extensive pipeline of new sales opportunities, orchestrate product and sales demonstrations to prospective customers, and formulate appropriate business relationships within the US Army and US SOCOM organizations. 

Manage pipeline from new logos, navigate assigned accounts to identify new business opportunities and expand relationships. 

Identify channel and reseller relationships to expand market presence, seek out new partnerships as needed. 

Collaborate with Sales Engineers for prospect meetings and presentations, generate proposals and present pricing to executive level buyers. 

Provide and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts of the business.

What You Bring:

Demonstrated success prospecting finding and winning business with new customers 

10+ years of related experience in Software and/or Data as a Service sales 

Experience selling to Federal customers  to the DoD services and COCOMs associated to the intelligence community 

Knowledge and practical use of methodology- MEDDPIC and/or Value Based Selling 

Enterprise and/or SaaS technical sales experience required along with a demonstrated track record of success 

Ability to forecast accurately and manage a pipeline of opportunities 

Ability to source, sell, co-sell, and close large deals; carrying quota and closing should be familiar concepts. 

Ability to do deep discovery and build relationships to engage in complex pricing negotiations 

Excellent communication skills

Self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines in start-up environment 

Experience working with others within a global scale

Experience negotiating sales contracts and deals

Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills 

Eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance 

Experience with CRM, outreach tools and forecasting solutions preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $213,400 - $350,900.  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location.  The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
