The Climate Safe Lending Network is an international multi-stakeholder collaborative dedicated to accelerating the decarbonization of the banking sector to secure a climate-safe world.
Our goal is to achieve climate safety by 2025 whereby the trajectory of lendersβ activities are fully aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement (consistent with a 1.5β degree increase in temperature) by setting science-based targets for scopes 1-3, reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions well before 2050, and incorporating strategies for a socially equitable and just transition. We are measuring impact through the diversity of participation in the network and the extent to which members are connected and work together on collectively sourcing and scaling system-wide solutions.
The Climate Safe Lending Network (CSLN) is an international multi-stakeholder collaborative dedicated to accelerating the decarbonization of the banking system to secure a climate-safe world. The Network brings together senior leaders and change makers from across banks, NGOs, investment, businesses, universities, and policy to share insights and collectively explore how to play their optimum role accelerating change.
CSLN runs a fellowship program for climate intrapreneurs from banks across the world, a policy initiative focused on regulatory and policy intervention, and brings together diverse perspectives on climate strategies relevant for banks into publications, such as The Good Transition Plan, launched at COP26.
